How to Add Music to Your Instagram Story (and Fix It When It's Missing)

How to add a song

1. Create your story (photo or video).
2. Tap the sticker icon → choose Music.
3. Search a song or browse trending tracks.
4. Pick the part of the song you want and the length of the clip.
5. Choose a display style (lyrics, album art, or a minimal bar) and place it.

• Photo: the song plays over it for the clip length you set (up to ~15s per story segment).
