Threads Unfollowers: How to Track Who Unfollowed You

To compare Threads followers over time, you need two dated lists from the same profile. An export you download today cannot reconstruct a follower snapshot you never saved.

A single check vs tracking over time

Two different questions, same as on Instagram:

• Who doesn’t follow me back in this export? — one comparison of your current lists (see how to compare Threads lists).
• Who unfollowed me? — needs a before-and-after. Save a snapshot now, compare later.

How to track unfollows on Threads

1. Use Meta’s Threads export instructions to request your data, keeping that profile separate from Instagram.
2. Keep that dated ZIP as your baseline.
3. Wait a week or a month, export again.
4. In a local spreadsheet or a tool with verified Threads support, compare complete lists: old followers − new followers = usernames missing from the newer list.

A missing username does not establish an exact unfollow time or reason. Account availability, changed usernames and incomplete files can also affect the result.

Keep control of your export

Sign in to Meta to obtain your own export, rather than sharing your password with a tracker. Check whether any comparison tool uploads files or keeps a copy. More in our guide to access and data handling.
